AMD (NYSE: AMD) today welcomed three new participants - Supermicro Computer, Inc., Tyan Computer Corporation and Uniwide Technologies, Inc. - to its Validated Server Program (VSP), broadening the program’s reach in North America and Europe and into new geographical regions. AMD’s VSP is designed to connect solution providers with VSP participants to obtain qualified, reliable, stable and well-supported server solutions based on single- and Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processors with the industry’s best performance-per-watt. The three new participants are expected to introduce new platforms to be sold under the VSP banner later this quarter in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
