	Intel Fellow Named 2008 R&D Magazine Scientist of

Congratulations to Intel Fellow and director of Intel's Photonics Technology Lab, Dr. Mario Paniccia who was just named "2008 R&D Magazine Scientist of the Year". Paniccia is leading much of the innovation behind silicon-based photonic building blocks for future data communications. His body of work includes nearly 50 papers and nearly 70 patents.
