Sun on Bi-monthly Beat of New Intel Xeon Servers

 
Sun Microsystems today introduced two new servers for the telecommunications industry based on Intel® Xeon® processors, including the first carrier-grade server powered by four quad-core Intel Xeon processors. The Sun Netra X4450 4U rackmount server features four quad-core Intel Xeon Processors Series 7000. The new Sun Netra X4250 2U rackmount server is powered by two LV quad-core Intel Xeon Processors Series 5000. These new offerings bring the number of Intel Xeon-based servers Sun has introduced since the two companies joined forces to 10, a rate of roughly one new server family member every other month.
