Capture the Flag: Intel Names 2008 Game Demo Winners

 
At the Austin Game Developers Conference today, Intel announced the winners of its third annual Game Demo Contest, which attracted 329 submissions from professionals, students and aspiring game developers from 42 countries. Sponsored by the International Game Developers Association, CMP and Dell, the contest awarded more than $100,000 in cash and prizes to 15 winners across three categories: Best Threaded Game, Best Game on the Go and Best Game on Intel® Graphics. The winning game demos, which take advantage of Intel processing power, tools and development kits, are on display at Intel's booth (#522). Tomorrow, Intel and EPIC Games will also announce the phase 1 winners of the $1 Million Intel Make Something Unreal Contest.
