Intel Upgrades Popular Threading Building Block...

At OSCON today, Intel announced a substantial upgrade to Intel® Threading Building Blocks (TBB), its award winning C++ template library available on Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. TBB is a key time-saving developer tool that helps programmers implement threading into applications and improves application performance on multi-core processors. TBB 2.1 makes it easier for developers to apply TBB to new uses in their software including graphical user interfaces, artificial intelligence, network input/output and more. TBB 2.1 is available starting July 23. For more information, attend Intel's session at OSCON or visit www.opentbb.org for the open source offering and the Intel Threading Building Block site for the commercial product.
