Intel 40th Anniversary Countdown

Did you know that Intel Corporation was founded 40 years ago this week? Intel's original business plan was only 165 words long, contained three typos, and was intentionally vague to avoid attracting competitors too soon. By the end of 1968, Intel had raised less than $3 million in funding, as well as leased an office in Mountain View, Calif., hired close to 30 employees, and recorded $2,672 in annual revenues. Today, Intel has close to 82,000 employees and reported $9.5 billion in revenues for the second quarter. Click here for more information on Intel's 40-year history of technology breakthroughs.
