Intel Chairman Dr. Craig R. Barrett will co-chair the board of directors of Achieve, Inc., a D.C.-based organization with a mission to raise academic standards, improve assessments and strengthen accountability to prepare all young people for postsecondary education, career and citizenship. According to Barrett, "Achieve plays a strategic role in ensuring that U.S students have the knowledge and skills they need to compete in an increasingly flat and complex world.
