Tech CEOs, Study Link Innovation with Energy Savings

 
Today in Washington, D.C., the Technology CEO Council called on policy makers to more aggressively embrace and adopt information technology (IT) to reduce the country's energy needs. The CEOs, including Intel's Paul Otellini, cited a study released today by the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy which says applying Information Technology (IT) solutions to everything from traffic management to virtualized data centers contributes net energy savings by a factor of 10 across the economy.
