Intel Xeon atop Newly Released Power Benchmark

 
An anticipated industry-standard benchmark on power efficiency from SPEC has been released. SPECpower_ssj2008 fills a gap in the server benchmark lineup as there has been few if any agreed-upon benchmarks that effectively measure and compare power efficiency across different server solutions. This new mark has been developed by a number or organizations including AMD, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, HP, Intel, IBM, and Sun Microsystems.
