Intel Proposes Telecom Open Source Tool Mark

At the FOKUS IMS 2007 Workshop in Berlin, Nov 15-16, Intel will highlight its recently released open source software, IMS Bench SIPp, a benchmarking test tool that helps service providers and vendors to evaluate IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) solutions. The tool provides a standard way to evaluate solutions using realistic traffic patterns by implementing IMS/NGN Performance Benchmark, ETSI specification TS 186 008. Intel encourages the telecommunications industry to contribute improvements and new features to the tool. Click here for more info on IP Services and wireless telecom infrastructure.
