Xeon Server Quads Break TPC-C Benchmark

 
An Intel-based, IBM System x3850-M2 server with four Quad-Core Intel Xeon X7350 processors and the new 4th generation IBM chipset X4 delivered 516,752 tpmC at $2.59/tpmC using 64-bit IBM-DB2 database on Red Hat Linux 5.0. This is the first time a 4-way server broke the 1/2 million tpmC barrier as of 10/15/2007. TPC-C measures server data throughput such as orders or transactions per minute. Learn more.
