Intel has been named to Working Mother Magazine's 100 Best Companies, a list that recognizes corporations that are family-friendly leaders. Rosalind Hudnell, Intel's director of Corporate Diversity, said, "We take this recognition as a validation of our efforts over the past several years to improve the development and retention of Intel women." Intel's selection was based on an extensive application of 575 questions in key categories. Intel has two new programs in this area - the "New Parent Reintegration Program," which allows new parents to modify their work schedule to work part-time for up to 12 months after returning from leave, and the "Life Event Leave of Absence program," which provides up to 12 weeks of unpaid time off to manage family responsibilities or other life events not typically covered.
